1st Year Anniversary

I decided to announce our pregnancy to everyone on facebook on our anniversary :) This is how I did it:

I can't believe that as of today, I have been married to my sweet Kyle for 1 YEAR!!!!! I have loved spending so much time with him! He is an amazing husband and I couldn't ask for a more perfect life! We have moved 4 times and gone through 4 dogs. We have traveled to Texas, New Mexico, California and Utah together. We have made so many friends together and support each other as we struggle with our classes. We work, play and enjoy life together. We love trying new things together like snorkeling! Something else new to us that we are excited to experience is being parents!!! We are 6 months away from welcoming in a new member of our family! We love the idea of becoming a mommy and daddy and are so excited to be starting our family!

Kyle and I celebrated our anniversary the weekend before and a little bit when he got home the day of. We went up to my mom's house for the weekend. They went to San Diego so we had the house to ourselves! Saturday morning Kyle taught me how to fish and I got to use the fishing pole we got me when we were first married! I think I did pretty well, but we didn't catch anything :( We rode the quad over and back which was fun as well!

Kyle saw a huge crawdad in the water so we caught it with a stick and Kyle picked it up...

And I saw the coolest frog in the water! It was in between a tadpole and a frog so it still had its tale but looked like a frog. It swam right over to us!

We went and test drove cars and went out to eat at Licano's...yum! On Sunday we decorated my mom's house for her birthday (which is our anniversary). We had a really nice time just getting to relax and spend time together :)

Then on Monday the 9th, after Kyle got home from work, we went to Cluff Ponds with our friends Kaitlyn and Jordan Flake. Kyle was jumping off the docks with Ruger. It was really cool to watch!

 So with a little encouragement...

 He went!

That night we went to a new resturant that we ended up not being impressed with, but we had fun while we were there! I snapped this one a little too late and was wondering what the heck he was doing during the picture...

 Then I found out lol...

 Oh how I love that man...

 We went home and watched a movie. About half way through I remembered our cake!! I pulled it out of the freezer in hopes it would thaw by the end of the movie. Thankfully it did (for the most part). Kyle grabbed my hand and put it on top of his to cut it...how cute.

 It actually didn't taste bad at all! I was worried, but it tasted just like it did last year :)

 I wanted to remake our wedding day a little bit so I shoved cake into Kyle's face hehe

 And just like our wedding day, I got it way worse! He got frosting all over my mouth and up my nose too lol. It was fun though :) Cleaning each other up was a great way to end our anniversary ;)

First Doctor's Appointment!

My appointment was at 1:30, but they had all the OB teaching, and Pap smear, and a book of questions to ask, so they told me I wouldn't even see the doctor until 2:15 or 2:30. That was perfect because Kyle usually doesn't even get back down from the mountain (where he works) until that time. I asked him to try and get off right when they returned so he could make it. He turns his phone off on the mountain because he doesn't have service and doesn't want his battery to drain searching for service. I called his on my way to the appointment and it went straight to voice-mail. I called him while I was waiting for the doctor and again, straight to voicemail. The doctor was right on time and I still couldn't get ahold of him. I wasn't sure if he'd make it so we just went ahead and did the heartbeat and ultra sound. We were mainly checking to see if it was twins. Thank goodness its not! I recorded both the ultrasound and heartbeat (I accidently pushed 'stop' instead of 'start' on the camera the first time we heard the heartbeat so she did it again for me). Right after the Doctor finished the ultrasound Kyle texted me that he was on his way. I showed her the text and was way bummed. She said 'well we can do another one when he gets here'. I was sooooo happy!!! The ultrasound we got to see together was amazing! We held hands throughout it and were amazed because we could see the baby's facial features!!! I wish I would have recorder that one too because it was awesome!!! Even the doctor was surprised we saw it that well! We were such proud parents and after the doctor left, we hugged each other so tight. It's amazing how much we love this child already!!

Yucky...

I threw up for the first time today. It was awful. I always feel nauseas, but nothing ever comes up. The last week or so I’ve gotten a few feelings of ‘here it comes’, but right before it does, the feeling goes away. Yesterday, Kyle and I went up the mountain. To the top and back was a four hour, winding road. I did ok for a while, but the last half hour about did it. But again….nothing came of it. So this morning, I’m driving home from the bank and I start to feel REALLY nauseas. I have been feeling really nauseas all morning, but while driving it became REALLY! nauseas. I rolled down the window and thought it was about to come. I didn’t pull over because everytime before, nothing ever happens. So I get home and go straight to the bathroom. First its dry heaves…then comes the stuff. There was a little bit of blood in it which worries me and I’ll probably call the doctor to make sure everything is ok. It went on for thankfully only about 5 mins. It’s been about 10 mins since it finished and my throat is still burning :( All I want to do is go take a nap, but Kyle and I are going to California today and I need to clean the house. I can only handle being up and about (working, shopping, whatever) for about an hour at a time. Dishes are the worst. Sometimes I only last 30 minutes. Thankfully I have the car mostly packed already. Maybe a quick nap won’t hurt ;)

Insurance

We got approved for AHCCCS today! What a blessing! It was going to be $900 on the sliding scale, but thankfully with AHCCCS we won’t have to pay near as much!!! The Lord truly watches over us.

Birthday!

My 23^rd birthday was so great! Kyle woke me up at midnight to be the first one to tell me Happy Birthday, and then he sent me on a scavenger hunt with clues to the next spot to find a present!!
It made me so happy because I wasn’t expecting anything since we bought snorkeling gear and decided to call that our birthday gifts to each other. It made me so happy to know he put that much work into making me happy for my birthday! 
He had to leave at 6 for work, but he had the Larson kids come over and sing happy birthday to me at 9! And they brought me homemade Poppy seed bread!! Yumm!! It was the sweetest thing to hear them sing to me! When Kyle got home from work, he brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers! He took me out for dinner at Kainoas and Ice Cream at Kaboose. Then we went to the lake with Ruger and had some fun there. We ended the night cuddling up on the couch watching Lilo & Stitch! It was a wonderful birthday!!

Cravings!

I’ve gone through a ton of different cravings. It was French toast, then refried beans (they were the only thing that didn’t make me want to puke), pickles, waffles, rice and Kalua Pork from Kainoas, and strawberries! After 2 or three days of having them, I was sick of that food and it made me nauseas to think about it. Salsa is the only craving that I still have :) The spicier the better!

Talks in Church

Kyle and I gave talks in church today. After I gave everyone some background on us, I said, we will be celebrating our 1st anniversary next month and welcoming in a new member of our family in January. We got a lot of ‘congratulations’ afterwards. Right after Sacrament meeting, the whole Bishopric came up to us and said, Wow! I think it was because Kyle’s talk was so incredible and he was able to take up the last 25 minutes of Sacrament meeting. Everyone kept saying how wonderful we did and how great that meeting was. I spoke on Education and Kyle spoke on everything! Prayer, Scripture study, home/visiting teaching, scouting, tithing and more! He told so many great stories from his experiences especially with scouting. I was so proud of him! Every time anyone would complement us, I would jokingly (but seriously too) turn it into all about how wonderful Kyle did. He would do the same back to me. He is such a wonderful man and will be an amazing father. He even talked about being a father in his talk. How he is grateful for his beautiful wife and the chance to be a father.
